The Flats
The Flats Orlando is a pioneering project in a county within Orlando that will build a more sophisticated and familiar vision for our community. With contemporary architecture and elements that express form and design, The Flats Orlando seeks to embrace an innovative concept that evokes a superior lifestyle emerging between the ‘exciting’ and the ‘quiet’. Its interior design alludes to modernity; more organic where a new collective responsibility for personal care and safety is emerging.
The Flats Orlando represents the ideal place to unwind amidst the hustle and bustle of the parks and shopping centers in the city. It is a place designed for people to find the most longed for tranquility, while still being part of the fun and smiles of Orlando’s magic.

iSquare Mall
iSquare is positioned to become Orlando’s next major destination – an iconic symbol representing the convergence of luxury, experience, and memory. It is here where fashion and entertainment intertwine. Feeding off the energy that is the I-Drive experience, this is the place to see and be seen. The animated façade of the podium integrates high-tech LED lighting that showcases the storefronts of world-class retailers with large expanses of glass that naturally illuminate the interior of the multi-story mall.
The dynamic surfaces become the centerpiece of nighttime activity and can be experienced from both near and far. The curved forms of the Solis hotel towers have a windswept feel as if blowing in a warm breeze and giving the architecture the illusion of movement. The two world-class hotels offer the feeling of luxury; an experience unlike no other in Orlando. Both guest pools are positioned in the sky and have an impressive view of all the neighboring attractions – guests can splash in the sun while leaving the rest of the world far below.
But for the ultimate experience, the rooftop restaurant pairs exquisite dining with a breathtaking rotating panorama of the City Beautiful from over three hundred feet in the air. At iSquare, guests will indulge in experiences that will linger long after their night has ended elevating their palate for quality, luxury and comfort to a whole new standard.

Sport Entertainment District
An ambitious new addition to Orlando’s downtown skyline is primed for construction. The Sports and Entertainment District (S+ED), a project conceived by the Orlando Magic and brought to life by architect Baker Barrios, is teetering on the cusp of inception, marking a significant milestone in a development journey that started in 2011. The district will be developed north of the Amway Center, bound by West Church Street on the south, South Hughey Avenue and Florida’s Interstate 4 on the east, West Central Boulevard on the north, and South Divison Avenue on the west.
The multifaceted design of the S+ED project sprawls across an expansive 8.4-acre footprint, seamlessly integrating commercial, residential, and office spaces. This blend translates into a self-contained urban lifestyle destination, stimulating the city’s socio-economic pulse.
Key elements of the project include a 276-unit hotel complete with a deck bar; a versatile 67,183 square-foot entertainment venue; an 18-story office building with a total of 397,900 square feet; a 140,000 square-foot residential building housing 286 units; and a retail hub spanning 104,670 square feet of space.

Universal’s Epic Universe
On August 1, 2019, NBCUniversal announced that it was building a fourth theme park named “Universal’s Epic Universe” as part of the Universal Orlando Resort. Without releasing details, Tom Williams, then chairman and chief executive officer of Universal Parks and Resorts, said Epic Universe would be the company’s “most immersive and innovative theme park.” Comcast and NBCUniversal officials said it would create an additional 14,000 jobs, including professional, technical, culinary, and other specialized positions. A possible opening date for the park was not immediately announced. In October 2019, Universal announced that the park would open in 2023.
Concept art released by Universal during the official announcement in August 2019 left details purposefully vague. Many IPs were rumored to appear in the park, including lands dedicated to How to Train Your Dragon, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Universal Classic Monsters, and the Nintendo franchises Super Mario & Donkey Kong. In January 2020, the presence of Super Nintendo World in the park was confirmed by multiple Comcast executives. Epic Universe’s version of Super Nintendo World was officially announced in February 2023, with CEO Mark Woodbury calling it the “worst-kept secret in history”.
